Gordon’s alive!

0 Comments 15 October 2008

Wow. We now have a nationalised banking sector in the UK. And Europe. And now America. Who’dathoughtit?

Didn’t I say that the Brown Plan was better than the Paulson Plan? It’s now been copied around the world, and our Dear Leader has been feted by no less than Paul Krugman in every TV interview going, following the award of his Nobel Prize for Economics this week.

Gordon Brown has broken cover and is appearing all over the place, almost enjoying himself, and doing quite a good impression of saving the world economy within 14 hours. Rumours of his demise seem greatly exaggerated. To paraphrase Queen, he’s saved with an invisible hand every man, every woman, every child with a mighty Cash. It now seems unthinkable that David Milliband, like a young Blue Peter presenter elbow-deep in a poisonous tree in Arboria, could dispatch war rocket Ajax to bring back his body now.
