The office

0 Comments 30 July 2008

The view from my office this lunchtime. And, below, the view from just outside my front door, by the lake at Reed Towers, where I was working this afternoon. I have lots of reading to get through this week, and this is the perfect spot to do it. It’s probably just about within wireless broadband distance, though I haven’t tried that yet. I shall have to get one of those laptop shades, so I can see the screen in this scorchio weather.

My gardenAnd I’m about to get one of those plug-in wireless modem things, so I shall soon be able to get on t’Internet wherever in the world there’s a mobile signal.

I can’t believe I spent so many years working on grim concrete industrial estates in the Thames Valley, where my only view was a banana factory, a Sainsbury’s depot or a motorway junction. Insane Ricky Gervaisery.
